Phil Hughes inability to turn the Corner came again as he got bombed by the Birds for seven runs in the Yankees 8 to 2 loss in Baltimore on Friday night.
As the season started I thought he was the key to the teams success. I was debating many Yankees fans about keeping him and not sending him to the Twins for Johan Santana but I am not giving up on him just yet but my case don't look that good.
He is only 21 and might need more time in the minors or maybe he is going to have take his lumps in the big time. I just felt he would be a big time pitcher and I still thing he will be.
By the way...down I-95 Johan looked great as the Mets beat the Phillies. I still like Hughes a lot.
