Brian Bruney a big part of the Yankee bull pen could be out for the season after he slipped covering first base in Chicago on Tuesday night. Bruney, with an ERA of 1.59 and a save has been a the bright spot of the bullpen this early season.
The Yankees , 12 and 12 after 24 games look like a just like a .500 club up and down. Its funny... up until this weekend around here we have not got any rain for over two weeks but on the Yankees last two road trips rain has hurt the team three times.
Last week after a rain deley in Baltimore Ian Kennedy, who was pitching well, got bombed. And in Chicago along with Bruney slipping on a wet turf, Phil Hughes struggled after the rain delay. Girardi did not want to bring Hughes back with the lead after the long delay This 12 and 12 team tooka big blow if Bruney is out for the year.
