A good weekend gone bad

Just when the Yanks were ready to take 3 in a row from Houston, a managers worst nightmare happened: Yankee ace Chien-Ming Wang injured his foot running the bases in the Yankees 13 to 0 win.

Wang, who was back on a roll winning his last two and 5-0 on the road, has a partially torn tendon. He sprained his right foot and will be on crutches for 6 weeks. And even with some luck he won't be able to pitch until mid September. This same injury hit Brain Bruney early in the season and he is not close to being back.

So when you feel your team is going to go on a run this happens. They have won 4 in a row but Brain Cashman will have to look into the trade market. You have to feel most teams will hold the Yanks up for ransom because off their situation. Coming up in the next few days we will take a look at who is out there and if it is worth mortgaging the future.
