We need another Shawn Chacon

Remember a few years back when the Yankees pitching went down kind like it is doing this year, Braian Cashman reached out to the Rockies and got a journeyman pitcher named Shawn Chacon who helped the team down the stretch to get the Bombers in the postseason? He even won a playoff game against the Angels.

This year the Yanks need another another guy like this. After getting beat by Cincy 4 to 2 and stopping their streak at 7 the team looks to Dan Giese to make the start for Wang and have signed Sidney Ponston to a Triple A contract.

The problem is the Yankees, like all other teams, need starting pitching...but do you want to mortgage the future to get a starter who will only be here for a few months? The big names wont be available till after the All Star game so Brain Cashman has his work cut out for him.
